About Faith Alive Ministry
The founder of Faith Alive Ministry is Melissa Heflin Peden, who is a life-long resident of Gulfport, Mississippi. She has been teaching and training disciples for 24 years. She is also the founder and president of the Disciple House on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. While her first love is pre-teens, she and her husband Bobby have been hosting an adult home Bible study since July, 2000. She teaches wherever God provides a platform: church, homes, parks, prison, and the marketplace.
Melissa's passion is the healing and deliverance ministry. She says, "The greatest miracle is a changed life! I have a B.S. degree in Interior Design. I think that I misinterpreted my passion for the 'before and after'! It was really about people all along -- not homes!" Her anointing is teaching, whether in church or in writings. Her first book Back to the Garden, Discovering the Kingdom of God is a discipleship teaching. She believes that when Jesus encountered someone in need, He accomplished 3 things: 1. healed or delivered the person in need (ministry); 2. proved to the bystanders that He was who He said He was (evangelism); trained His disciples to do what He did (discipleship). Her greatest desire is to do what He did, and what He said for us to do.
In that spirit, the Disciple House was created. It is a place to come if you need ministry, but don't expect to stay there! You will be activated as a minister before you know it. One of the main truths about the Kingdom of God is "Give, and it will be given to you..." and "freely you have received, freely give." It is contrary to basic Kingdom principles to be an 'ongoing receiver!'
Faith Alive Ministry is blessed to have an amazing team. The list is too large to publish, and not run the risk of leaving anyone out.

Jeff and Tammy Marion - Children's Pastors at Pass Road Baptist Church, Gulfport, MS. Special thanks to them for their work in bringing forth (and proving) the concept that children can be just as anointed as adults. In their ministry, children of all ages are ministering to adults as well as other children. Many of these children are starting their own ministries. God has called Pastors Jeff and Tammy, and anointed them with the vision that we need to prepare this next generation to usher in the return of Christ.
